Experience a Shadow Day
We know what a big decision choosing a high school can be and we want to help you pick the school that is right for you. The shadowing program at Memorial offers students in 8th grade the opportunity to visit our school and spend the day learning what are school is really like.
Shadow dates for 2019-2020 will be posted soon. Please make your reservation early and let us know if you must cancel so we can contact students on the waiting list. We require that parents make these reservations since students will miss a day of school and will need to be excused. We have several current Chargers that would love to spend the day sharing our school with you, but you may also make a special request. The reservation form has a place to request a sibling to act as a Shadow Mentor for the day, and provided their schedule works for that day, we will try to accommodate your request.
Students arrive at 8:30 a.m. for an introduction to their day and tour of the school led by our shadow mentors. They then spend the next 5 class periods with their shadow mentor getting a "feel" for the school. Shadows will eat a provided lunch together in the Memorial Veterans Conference Room. The Shadow Day ends at 3:35 p.m. Shadows will meet their parents in the bus loop out in front of the school.
