Social Studies
Social Studies courses include concepts that incorporate the Oklahoma State Department of Education
mandated objectives from the C3 standards. Content from the areas of history,
economics, geography, government, psychology, sociology, and multicultural awareness are necessary for effective
citizenship in a country that values the inalienable right of individual choice as a primary goal. Practice in respect
for individual differences and logical thinking provide the student with the competence to meet the daily problems
