Retired after 23 years and 8 months in the U.S. Army- 1994 * Graduated from Floydada High School in Floydada, Texas in 1970 * Joined the Army in May of 1971 - attended basic training at Fort Polk, La, and advance training at Fort Sill, Ok. * After training was assigned in Korea for one year, and then assigned to Fort Carson, Co. * On May 25, 1974 married the former Saundra Kay Beal, then was assigned to one of our 3 tours in Germany. * We have two great children: Jennifer Jones, teaching at Broken Arrow Public Schools (mother of our grandson Joshua in the 8th grade), and our son Phillip. * Phillip and his wife, Amber, live in Broken Arrow, and he works in the Finance office at Broken Arrow Public Schools. * I received my dual BS Degree from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville Ok, in Business Management and Human Resources. * I have been teaching JROTC at Memorial for 18 years.
