FEEA Scholarship Program

•NHCFAE members, current civilian federal and postal employees with at least three years of federal service, their children and spouses
•Dependent applicants may first apply as high school seniors
•Dependents must be full-time students; employees may be part-time
•Enrolled (or plan to enroll) in an accredited post-secondary school
•Course of study that leads to a two-year, four-year or graduate degree
•3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale

Life Lessons Scholarship Program

The LIFE Lessons Scholarship Program is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, who are between 17 and 24 years of age, have experienced the death of a parent or legal guardian, and are currently enrolled in, or have been accepted to, a college, university or trade school within the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia or Puerto Rico.
$15,000-$7500 awards available.

LULAC National Scholarship Fund

March 31, 2013

LULAC Councils will award scholarships to qualified Hispanic students who are enrolled or are planning to enroll in accredited colleges or universities in the United States. Awards start at $250. Awards of $500 and under are disbursed on July 15; awards over $500 are disbursed in two equal payments on July 15th and January 15th. All awards are sent to the local LULAC Councils for distribution to recipients. Scholarships may be used for the payment of tuition, academic fees, room, board, and the purchase of required educational materials & books.

AISES 2013 Google Scholarship

Deadline March 31, 2013

$10,000 USD total award for those studying in the US  and a retreat to CA in June 2013.  The AISES Google Scholarship will fund scholarships awards to American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian and people of First Nations from Canada AISES members pursuing degrees in the computer science, computer engineering and related programming fields.

OKC ALL Stars All Sports Association Scholarship

The Oklahoma City All Sports Association will award two $1,000 scholarships to two incoming college freshmen, one male and one female.  Selection will be based on the achievements and attributes consistent with the mission of the organization, including leadership, athletic participation, civic activities, and academics. Applicants must be enrolled in an Oklahoma college or university and cannot already be receiving a college or university athletic scholarship. Application forms are due by April 5, 2013.

Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a graduating high school senior entering at the college freshmen level in the upcoming fall semester. Must have a minimum high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.0. (Or documented evidence of extenuating circumstances that caused a lower GPA.)
Must be the child or grandchild of a United States veteran.
Must be a United States citizen.
Must demonstrate academic promise and financial need.

The American Legion Legacy Scholarship
Deadline: April 15, 2013
Those eligible to apply for the scholarship shall be the child/children or legally adopted child/children or a child of a spouse by a prior marriage or dependent child as defined by the United States Armed Services of active duty United States military and National Guard, and military reservists who were federalized and die on active duty on or after September 11, 2001. The applicant must be a high school senior or high school graduate to apply for the scholarship. Scholarship is for undergraduate study at an accredited institution of higher education within the United States.

Catching the Dream
Deadline: April 15, 2013
Our scholarship program operates nationwide. Scholarship available to high school students (grades 9-12). This program is meant to encourage students to “think critically about a topic of global significance and the key role diplomacy plays in connecting people and ideas.” The 2013 winning essayist will receive a $2,500 cash prize, an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. to meet the U.S. Secretary of State (John Kerry, perhaps?), and full tuition for a Semester at Sea voyage (once the student is enrolled at university).

OU/Thunder Scholarship

Entrants must be Oklahoma state residents and high school seniors who will graduate during the 2012-2013 academic year. Entrants must apply for acceptance to the University of Oklahoma as a first time freshman in the Fall of 2013 as a full time student. Entrants must be able to attend the Oklahoma City Thunder home game on 04/17/13 to be eligible.

The Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Tulsa Chapter Scholarship  will be awarded to a high school senior (male or female) who has accumulated a minimum 2.5 grade point average (for seven semesters), exhibits financial need, and has applied to an accredited college or university.  Deadline for Application -April 5, 2013.  See Mrs. Best for application.

Tulsa Post Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) awards three $1,000 Justin Noyes Scholarships to senior high students who intend to earn a degree in engineering, biological science or physical science.  Seniors must accepted for admission by one of the following Langston University, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Northeastern State University, Oklahoma State University,Oklahoma University,Oral Roberts University, Tulsa Community College or Tulsa University.  Applications must be postmarked by April 19.

Anna B. House Scholarship application are in counseling office.  Applicants must have at least a 2.75 grade point average.  Application must be received by April 26.

Tulsa Pan-Hellenic Scholarship is awarded to college bound students based on financial need.  Students who apply must meet certain needs include in the application form-be assured that all information is kept confidential.  Deadline May 10, 2013

Tulsa University Only--Bovaird Foundation Scholarship--$3,000 per semester for eight (8) semesters. To apply you must have been accepted and committed to attending The University of Tulsa.  Applications in Mrs Best Office. Applications must be turned into Mrs. Best.

McNair Scholars Program

Scholarship program is designed to prepare students for careers as graduate students, professors or professional researchers. Must be full time student, with 42 hours or more completed, 3.0 GPA & first generation college student or student from an underrepresented ethnic group.

OCCC ACT NOW Scholarship
The ACT NOW scholarship is offered as an automatic merit-based tuition waiver program for the 2013 graduating class of high school students. The waiver amounts are based on the student’s composite score on the national ACT. Students who score a 21 are eligible for a $500 tuition waiver. Scores of 22 – 23 receive a $750 waiver and scores of 24-26 will receive a $1000 waiver. Students with exceptional scores a 27 or higher will receive a $1500 waiver. All waivers are per semester; freshman year only.

FAFSA

All Seniors planning on attending ANY college or trade school after high school MUST complete a FAFSA in January/February of your senior year.  Even if you are going to a beauty college, you will need to have completed the FAFSA!  You must have your parent(s)’ current tax returns to do so, and most aid is first come/first serve, so make sure your parents do their taxes ASAP and help you get this done.  www.fafsa.gov
