Welcome to my webpage...
I am very pleased to be at Memorial High School as one of the Academic Counselors. Although I may be new to many students and parents, I was the substitute Junior Counselor 2003-2004 when Jill Lee was on medical leave. Both of my children received a fabulous educational foundation at Memorial and graduated in the Classes of 2000 and 2004. I am very pleased to be back with the Memorial family. I strongly support our vision statement, "College and Career readiness is not a dream...it's a plan!" Every student who graduates should have a plan for their post high school education, whether it is a two-year Associate's Degree, a certification for a technical career from a Technology Center, or a bachelor's degree (or higher) from a college or university.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in English/French literature from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. I have participated in two National Association of College Advising Counselors (NACAC) annual conferences, an AP National conference, many colleges visits, and a variety of other professional development. My greatest joy in counseling is helping students prepare for attaining their goals and aspirations. Education is a life long process, and guiding students on their road to success is a vital part of my own educational journey.
