1.   Login to Google using your TPS login:

2.   Go to classroom.google.com to sign in to Ms. Howell’s Google classroom page for Class of 2018

3.   On the Home page, click +

4.   Click “Join Class”

6.   click “Join

To complete the slide:

1.   Click on the template

2.   Fill in your information

3.   When you are completed please be sure to SUBMIT your slide for it to be included in the awards assembly slideshow.

OCCASIONS TO WEAR CAPS AND GOWNS:

Before wearing caps and gowns, seniors should have them pressed. As a class seniors will wear caps and gowns for:

 

Baccalaureate on Sunday, May 6th at 2:00 pm- Park Plaza Church of Christ- 5925 E. 51st St. Tulsa, Ok 74135.   (seniors arrive by 1:30 pm)

 

Panoramic Picture on Friday, May 11th at 9:30 am in large gym (seniors arrive by 9:00 am)

 

Awards Assembly on Friday, May 11th at 10:00 am

 

Commencement on Tuesday, May 17th at 6:00 pm (seniors arrive by 5:15 pm)

11:30 Senior Walk to Key Elementary

 

Monday, May 14th Senior Breakfast @ Double Tree Warren Place @ 9:30am

Location: 6110 S. Yale, Tulsa, 74136   Tickets: $10 for seniors and $15 for parents/guests

Attire: Sunday Best

The senior breakfast is a special event just for graduating seniors and their

families.  You will enjoy a gourmet breakfast buffet, reflect on your senior year,

and see the senior slideshow.  You must purchase your tickets in the bookstore

 by Tuesday, May 8th.  NO tickets will be sold at the door.  All tickets are

 pre-sale only.  You MUST have your ticket to enter the event.

 

Wednesday, May 16th Senior Field Day/Picnic

Location: LaFortune Stadium

Time: 11:00-2:00

Graduating seniors picnic/field day- $5 a person for food, games, prizes, and fun

 

GRADUATION DAY MAY 17TH

9:50 Graduation practice at ORU Mabee Center- MANDATORY (enter through the south doors)

5:15 seniors arrive at Mabee Center for graduation (enter through south doors)

Graduation- May 17th at 6:00 pm

 

 

APPROPRIATE DRESS:

BOYS- wear white collared shirt, dark tie, dark dress pants, and dark dress shoes.

GIRLS: a dark colored dress must be shorter than the gown along with black or dark dress shoes.  Please avoid extremely tall high heels.

No other recognition or decorative items may be added to the graduation gown or cap.  Students whose attire does not comply with these regulations may not be allowed to participate in the ceremony. A few days before you wear the gown take the gown out of the wrapper and hung up to let the wrinkles out.  The mortar board is worn flat on the head.  Tassels are to be worn on the right side of the cap before Graduation and will be moved to the left side as part of the ceremony.

 

APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR:

The Graduation ceremony is a formal occasion and appropriate behavior is expected.  Noisemakers or any other disruptive items are not allowed at ORU Mabee Center.  Any person who violates these rules may have these items confiscated or removed from the arena.


 

 

Other information

Requesting final transcript: It is very important that seniors request their final transcript to be sent to the college they will attend in the fall.  To make the final transcript request fill out a form in the main office.

 

Diploma distribution: Parents and students may pick up their graduation diplomas at the Enrollment Center located at 2819 S. New Haven Ave, beginning in June.   The Enrollment Center is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Photo identification is required.  Parents may pick up the diploma if students are under 18 years old.  If a student is 18 years or older, they must pick up their diploma.  Written permission can be given to another person allowing them to pick up the diploma, however the written permission must contain the signature and a photocopy of the record/diploma owner’s identification.  Please call (918) 746-7500 if you have any questions.

GradFest 2018- May 17th after graduation

·         Location: Incredible Pizza

·         Time: 10:30pm-1:30am

·         Buy your ticket in the office 4/30-5/17.

·         $50 includes: unlimited drinks, open pizza bar from 10:30-11:30, cinnamon rolls from 12:30-1:30, game card, unlimited major play stations (mini golf, bowling, go carts, etc..)

·         $60 at the door

·         Students must cross the graduation stage to be eligible to attend.

*If you attend you do not have to attend school on Friday, May 18th. Seniors must be in school Monday, May 12-Thursday, May 31.




 


HOLDS

Please make sure you clear your holds in the bookstore.  The enrollment center will not release your diploma if you have a hold.

 




 

How to Take Personal Financial Literacy Online

1. Go to the Tulsa Teachers Credit Union Foolproof Login page https://highschools.foolproofonline.info/secure/signin.php

2. On the Foolproof Login page "Create your FoolProof account"

3. Enter the class codeL 5399

4. When asked if Jenn Howell is your teacher, click "yes, continue"

5. You may then create your own account

6. Follow the instructions and begin the course.

7. Upon completion, please let Ms. Howell know so she can print your certificate and turn it into the Office of Accountability.
