  • We still have a few positions available for the 2013-2014 school year.
  • For more information and to apply, please contact Lane Matheson at mathela@tulsaschools.org

Nearly every device or process we use comes from advances in STEM. From wireless communication to automobile design to space flight, science and mathematics are at the core of virtually every technological development. Memorial’s magnet program provides a rigorous education to prepare students for life in the twenty-first century. Our mission is to help students take the next step - enrolling in a university-level STEM program - with confidence in the field they have chosen and with the skills that will ensure their success.

We are looking for students who want to improve the world and help others while working in a creative, lucrative, fun field with low unemployment statistics. Dedicated instructors and mentors with experience in aerospace technology, robotics and computer-aided design have aligned TEAM’s rigorous curriculum with university engineering programs.

TEAM students compete in local, state, and national engineering competitions which provide a real-world, hands-on opportunity to apply what they have learned.

At TEAM the typical sequence of courses for engineering, science, and math is:

9th Grade:
Introduction to Engineering Design, Pre-AP Biology, & Pre-AP Algebra II*
*Students may enroll in Pre-AP Algebra I in 9th grade with prior approval.

10th Grade:
Digital Electronics, Pre-AP Physics, Pre-AP Geometry, Pre-Calculus

11th Grade:
Principles of Engineering, AP Physics B, Pre-AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB

12th Grade:
AP Calculus BC; Choose 1 or more: AP Physics C, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Statistics, Anatomy & Physiology, Zoology/Botany

TEAM students may substitute Engineering Robotics for Digital Electronics and/or Principles of Engineering.  Engineering Robotics is an elective class associated with our award winning robotics team.  Students do not have to be enrolled in Engineering Robotics to participate on the team as an extracurricular activity.

TEAM requires a minimum of two years of foreign language in addition to all other TPS graduation requirements to prepare students for a global career.
